Mercer & Cooper was founded in 2016 by Matt Mercer and Bernice Cooper, two visionary leaders with decades of experience in financial planning, property sales, investment, and development. Their passion for creating prosperity through property laid the foundation for a company that helps clients succeed.
What began as a property investment advisory firm quickly expanded and by 2019, they were developing their own projects and land subdivisions, and by 2022, property management became integral parts of the offering.
Matt’s dynamic entrepreneurial spirit and expertise in financial growth strategies, combined with Bernice’s sharp insight into property marketing and development, have shaped Mercer & Cooper into the holistic, client-focused company it is today. Meet the Founders
Founded by Matt Mercer and Bernice Cooper in 2016, our founders have a history across property investment and financial advice. Directors Matt Mercer and Bernice Cooper bring diverse perspectives, with Matt’s 30 years in financial services and property acquisitions and Bernice’s 29 years in project marketing and investment property aggregation to the financial services sector.
They both previously owned a successful financial planning business for 10 years where the advice model for property investment was initially created and refined. The duo later established a property development arm to the Mercer & Cooper group growing their own property portfolio and focusing on land subdivisions.
